She won the Costa Short Story Award, was a finalist for the 2025 AWP James Alan McPherson Novel Award, and in 2024 was the runner-up for the Bridport Novel Prize.

Her writing has appeared in Popshot, Litro, Dear Damsels, and other lit magazines. She was long-listed for the Curtis Brown Discoveries Prize and highly-commended for the Bath Short Story Award.

She is a graduate of Goldsmiths, University of London’s Children’s Lit and Creative Writing MA Program. Currently, she’s working towards her PhD in Creative Writing/Creative Grieving at Bath Spa University and the University of Bristol, with funding from the SWWDTP.

Anna runs The Grove, a creative writing community in SE London offering in-person courses and several book clubs for children and adults. She also tutors young people.
