Woven in Nature
Woven in Nature is an ongoing personal photography project exploring the profound connection between people and the natural world.
Born from my own countryside upbringing and an ever-present craving for woods, sea, and the simple act of lying in moss, this series documents those who soften in nature: individuals who find themselves, their peace, and their purpose through immersion in the elements.
A few years ago, I realised that for me, nature was woven into more than just place.
It's threaded through identity, heritage, and the often-overlooked lineage connecting women to the wild. As a woman, I see echoes of this in the historical relationship between witches and nature, women who lived at the edges, who knew the plants, the rhythms, the quiet power of the earth. This project honours that connection and explores how it shows up in the lives of others who are similarly drawn to rivers, forests, and shorelines as places of belonging and transformation.
